ego or crazy-ness?

thats what i'm asking myself right now.

well, you see, i'm blogging cause i took up a dare to do so. I guess many people get themselves into such predicaments because they just want to prove to the whole world that they can do whatever is asked of them. And yeah, its also kinda cool when you prove somebody wrong, at least thats what we think when we set out to make someone's words blow up in his/her own face.

but its usually not cool at all. as dares are frequently said in jest. So even when you accomplish one, rather than the desired 'wow, you're cool' response, i think you'd get more of a 'so what' or 'whatever'..sad eh for all the trouble and self-created excitement of completing the dare that we went through. Being an egoistic freak and taking up every single challenge people issue you also makes you easily manipulated in a way and can get you into trouble double time.

just look at how someone real powerful was manipulated

(sometime late feb 2003)
sadam hussien: yo george, betcha dont have the guts to invade my backyard again. Whatsmore,
my armed forces would surely be able to kick the butts of yours.

George: Well, lets see who's talking a month or two from now.

Through this simple challenge, Sadam probably managed to get most of world to hate Mr Bush and destroyed his legacy as President. And he got his revenge on Bush Sr for the previous invasion. What a quirky guy!

ok, the last part was really just crap cause i couldnt find a legitimate example of someone using a dare to manipulate a situation...and probably just some crazy-ness, just like when i agreed to this blogging thing.
